On March 25,2010, the National Women’s History Project was honored at a special reception held in our nation’s capitol by the first woman Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi, and Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton. The Project has achieved unbelievable progress since their start in 1980.
The articles and images in their new gazette both validate and reinforce the Our History is Our Strength theme. The 2011 Gazette will publicize the ground breaking work that is being done to honor the contributions women have made to the nation. Hopefully it will also inspire others to take action in their own lives.
The Women’s History Month poster and other resources related to celebrating National Women’s History Month 2011 is now available in their webstore. There is also a stunning new poster, which was produced by Syracuse Cultural Workers, celebrating the 100th Anniversary of International Women’s Day.
The Project also has Women’s History Performers and a Distinguished Speakers Bureau.
